Talos
Talos is a YC Fall 2026 (F26) company. Based in Baltimore, MD, USA. Team of 3.
About Talos
Summary
Talos builds predictive maintenance hardware and software for large power transformers, assets that cost millions to replace and take years to source. Magnetic, non-invasive sensor devices attach to existing equipment in seconds, continuously capturing vibration, temperature, electromagnetic, and humidity signals, then running anomaly-detection models against each machine's learned baseline. When a fault surfaces, Talos delivers a root-cause analysis and specific remediation steps, replacing the reactive inspection routines that let problems compound until failure.
Go-to-market
Utility operators and grid infrastructure teams are the buyers; field crews deploy the hardware without specialist installers, lowering the barrier to initial adoption.
From the Y Combinator listing
Predictive maintenance for power infrastructure.
At Talos, we are building better, more modern predictive maintenance for the power industry with a focus on large transformers. Our devices continuously monitor critical power equipment and detect problems early on using anomaly-detection models. For each fault, we provide detailed analyses of the problem, exactly where and why it happened, as well as next steps teams should take.
