About

The bottleneck for consumer AI is shifting from the model to the personal context that model uses. Models are already capable of completing most tasks for the average user, but consumer AI products still starts cold and have to rebuild an incomplete picture of the same user before they can personalise well. We’re building AI Passport so users can carry the personal context they create through everyday apps into new products, allowing those products to understand them from the first interaction instead of reconstructing the same incomplete picture from scratch. Users decide which parts of their context can move between products, while companies receive better information about their users. Apps integrate AI Passport through a “Sign in with AI Passport” button, then request specific information for a stated purpose and duration rather than receiving broad, permanent access to everything the Passport holds. The user chooses what to share and can revoke access later, which makes the system particularly useful for sensitive health or financial context that may be valuable for a specific interaction but should not remain available indefinitely. To support this permission model, AI Passport uses our own vector database as its memory backend, built for fast, compact per-user memory and cryptographically enforced access control. We’re building first-party apps that give people reasons to create and use their Passport now, while also integrating it into consumer products with existing audiences across hospitality, travel, finance, and lifestyle.
