Put Investor Resources in One Place Without Building a Data Room

Give LPs the shared links and files they ask for, while investor-specific records stay with the administrator.

The investor question "Where is the administrator login?" does not need a data room. It needs a reliable answer in the portal. GPAgent's Resources tab holds the links and files a fund deliberately shares with an audience. Investor-specific capital accounts, tax forms, and notices remain with the fund administrator; the portal can link investors to that account instead of pretending to replace it.

  1. Add a link or shared file to the fund's Resources tab.
  2. Choose its fund or firm-wide scope and its audience.
  3. Put the administrator login in the account position and pin up to three useful items.
  4. Hide an item while preparing it; publish it when it is ready for that audience.

One destination for repeat questions

For a fictional Northwind Capital investor, the useful list might be an administrator login, the fund's latest shared quarterly report, and a community calendar. These are different kinds of resources. The account link is a sign-in destination. The report is a file the fund chose to share. The calendar is a link that may be useful to a wider community.

The fund orders the list. Pinning is for the few items investors need most, not a second archive. A hidden item is a staging state, not a mysterious missing attachment.

Audience first, then presentation

A resource can belong to one fund or be firm-wide. It can be for LPs or for LPs plus an eligible community audience. A community member does not gain access to a fund's financial reporting just because the same portal has a Resources tab. GPAgent checks access when listing an item and again when opening it.

For a private file, the open path issues a short-lived link to an authorized reader. A pasted sign-in link remains a link. GPAgent does not crawl a provider's private account page and call the result a preview. That is a useful constraint: the portal can point people to the right place without taking responsibility for documents it does not own.

The Investor Portal is where LPs find these materials. See the GPAgent platform for how that portal sits beside the fund's other work.

FAQ

Should I put K-1s in Resources?

No. K-1s and personal account statements differ by investor and belong with the administrator. Add the administrator login as a resource so investors can find them.

Can a community member see the same files as an LP?

Only items shared with that member's eligible audience. Community membership does not grant fund reporting access.

Is Resources a data room?

No. It is a curated place for common links and files. It does not add per-investor document delivery, approval stages, or administrator account records.

Build on the fund record, not a prompt.
