About Limnion
Summary
Limnion builds open-standards telemetry storage for engineering teams running observability at scale, including agentic workflows. Its core project, Siglake, ingests OpenTelemetry data natively, stores it as Parquet and Iceberg on object storage, and queries it with DataFusion SQL, replacing proprietary telemetry backends and the vendor lock-in that comes with them. A managed bring-your-own-cloud platform and a streaming anomaly-detection layer are in development on top of that open core.
Business model
An open-source core with a managed BYOC platform built on top of it.
Go-to-market
Engineering and platform teams adopt Siglake through open-source self-serve, with a managed cloud offering in development for teams that want object-storage economics without operating the cluster themselves.
From the Y Combinator listing
Telemetry storage for the agentic era.
Limnion is building an open-standards telemetry storage platform for observability at scale, including agentic workflows. Siglake is the open-source project that sits at the heart of it, designed around OTel, Parquet, and Iceberg. No proprietary storage, no vendor lock-in.
