A Founder Intro Should Reach Your Deal Pipeline
How GPAgent connects introductions, investor updates, and financing evidence to fund work, with a visible reason for every action.
A founder introduction should reach your deal pipeline with the introduction attached. A portfolio update should reach the right holding. A financing announcement should retain its evidence and wait for the appropriate review. GPAgent brings these inputs into the work each investing agent already owns, so the fund can see what changed and why.
An introduction carries a relationship, not an investment decision
Someone introduces you directly to a founder. You have enough context to start a conversation, but you have not made an investment decision.
With warm-introduction intake enabled, the Relationship Manager can add the identified company to your pipeline, ready for a founder conversation. It keeps the evidence behind that step. A cold pitch does not qualify, and an introduction from someone else does not by itself reopen a deal you passed.
You choose whether this source runs for your firm in Sources. Connecting an inbox does not turn every message into a deal.
Each kind of evidence belongs to an existing job
The agentic investing team has specialist roles because the same email can have very different implications.
| Evidence | What the fund needs |
|---|---|
| A warm founder introduction | A company ready for a conversation, with its introduction attached |
| A founder investor update | Private information attached to the correct holding |
| A financing announcement | A recorded event whose evidence and effect can be reviewed |
| A founder meeting | Deal context that reflects the meeting's current state |
A financing announcement is not automatically a valuation mark. A private investor update is not automatically LP news. Keeping those distinctions in the underlying workflow matters more than making the inbox summary sound confident.
A short scan should not become a permanent blind spot
Checking only the newest threads misses older updates. Reading only the first message in a thread misses the founder's next reply. Repeating the same short scan tomorrow does not fix either problem.
GPAgent keeps progress through bounded message scans. A later run continues the work, and recorded observations keep a repeated message from becoming a second action. When evidence cannot be processed, its reason stays available to the agent's workflow rather than disappearing into a successful-looking run.
Coverage still depends on access: an update sent only to an unconnected personal account is outside the connected fund inbox. Sources and connection settings make that boundary part of the operating setup.
Look for the reason where you already do the work
The agent page explains what the agent watches for and which evidence it could not act on. Sources brings the firm's choices together with connection readiness, recorded scan coverage, and links to resolve problems. A connected account does not mean every older message has been checked; when coverage is unfinished or unavailable, that distinction should stay visible. Policy settings are there when you need to change them. Deal and portfolio views remain the places where you work with the result.
That is the useful test for an agent operating platform: can you follow a change back to the evidence, understand the limit, and continue the fund's work without reconstructing an automation?
FAQ
Does a warm introduction reopen a deal I passed on?
An introduction from someone else alone does not reopen it. The fact that someone connected you is different from your own decision to resume the conversation.
Does reading investor updates publish them to LPs?
No. Founder investor updates remain private fund information. LP-facing news, asks, and letters follow their own disclosure and publication rules.
Does this send an email to the founder?
No. This intake records evidence and updates the fund's internal work. It does not send introductions, replies, or outreach.
Build on the fund record, not a prompt.
